Canfield Fair!
Coming up very soon, everyone's favorite - The Canfield Fair! The fair runs August 31 - September 5. We will be there all week in the Commercial Building (#22), where they make fudge. This will be our 11th year at the Canfield Fair! We will be conducting free spinal screenings. Spinal screenings are quick, painless, and can show you the misalignments in your spine, which may be causing pain in your back and other areas of your body. We'll be able to let you know just how far off you may be and the impact it's having on your body.
This service is $99 if we do it at the office, but at the fair there is no cost or obligation. What do you have to lose? We will also be doing acupressure for $1 per minute Friday through Monday.
Are your kids playing Pokemon Go?
More than 15 million people have downloaded Pokemon Go. That's a lot of people outside walking around that may not have been before, which is a good thing. We all need exercise! However, there is a hidden danger that goes along with it that we call "tech neck". Tech neck occurs when people spend hours a day staring down at a cell phone, tablet, or another device. A person's head weighs on average 10 to 12 pounds. However, when you lean your head forward 15 degrees the strain on your neck becomes 27 pounds, 40 pounds at 30 degrees, 49 pounds at 45 degrees, and a whopping 60 pounds at 60 degrees.
This stress causes misalignments in your spine, which inhibits signals traveling to and from the brain, and can therefore cause many problems in your body. Prevent this by holding devices up in front of your face when you read email, text, or chase Pokemon around the park. Your neck will thank you.
